Thailand Bioresource Research Centre (TBRC) and Department of Biotechnology, Mandalay Technological University ( MTU Biotech ) carried out the iCollect Workshop on Microbial Database and Data Management at MTU Campus, Patheingyi Township.
As the major host ot the event, MTU Biotech, led by Prof. Dr. Myo Myint and Prof. Dr. Ohn Mar Tun, invited 30+ microbiologists, biotechnology researchers, and lecturers from 9 universities and 3 departments in Myanmar to join the workshop and discuss about not only establish Myanmar national microbiological research network, but also extend Myanmar-Thailand collaboration to ASEAN research communities through AnMicro network (anmicro.org) .
In the practice session, the workshop participants learned iCollect, the microbial culture collection management software created by TBRC. iCollect has built-in functions and workflows which allow users to manage culture collection data in a fashion of good conduct.
With this strong relationship and family-like atmosphere, we ASEAN shall be stronger together.
